Hertz is the SI frequency unit. Metric prefixes scale it by powers of ten, from millihertz through terahertz in this converter.
RPM means revolutions per minute and RPS means revolutions per second. For rotational frequency, one complete revolution is treated as one cycle, so 60 rpm equals 1 Hz.
Frequency counts cycles per second. Angular velocity uses angle per time. One hertz corresponds to 2π rad/s for angular frequency, not 1 rad/s; rad/s and degree-per-time units are intentionally excluded.
