Calculate exact age in calendar years, months, and days, plus elapsed time, next birthday, birth weekday, zodiac sign, and leap-year details.
CalcRocket measures age using calendar boundaries, then calculates elapsed time separately with UTC date-only arithmetic.
First, the calculator counts complete birthday anniversaries reached by the selected age-at date.
It then advances through complete months, respecting the actual number of days in each month.
The remaining whole days form the day component of the exact age.
Total days, hours, and minutes come from the UTC midnight difference between the two dates, preventing daylight-saving time from shifting the result.
Years are not treated as 365 days, and months are not assigned an average length. Each component follows the calendar.
exact age = complete calendar years + complete calendar months + remaining daysThe Gregorian rule is used: a year divisible by 4 is a leap year, except a century year must also be divisible by 400. That makes 2000 and 2024 leap years, while 1900 and 2025 are not.
A February 29 birthday remains February 29 in leap years. In non-leap years, CalcRocket uses February 28 as the observed birthday for age anniversaries and the next-birthday countdown.
Date of birth: January 15, 2000. Age at date: August 6, 2026.
Exact age: 26 years, 6 months, 22 days.
The calculator advances from the birth date by complete calendar years, then complete calendar months, then counts the remaining days. It does not divide total days by 365.
Some calculators approximate years or months using average lengths. Results can also differ in how they handle month-end dates or February 29 birthdays. CalcRocket uses calendar units and documents its leap-day convention.
Gregorian leap-year rules are used: years divisible by 4 are leap years, except century years unless they are also divisible by 400.
In non-leap years, February 28 is used as the observed birthday. In leap years, the birthday remains February 29.
Yes. The age-at date can be any valid past or future date, provided it is not earlier than the date of birth.
Total completed months includes both the complete years converted to months and the additional complete calendar months in the exact age.
